Adorable 2023 Goals for Kittens

Happy New Year! Do you hope to accomplish a lot in the coming year? Your feline friend will be right there with you, cheering you on with meows and head bonks. As it turns out, Fluffy has a few things of her own lined up for the coming year. A Rockwall, TX vet lists some of them below.

Jump Higher

Did you know that cats can jump 6 times their own height? If Fluffy isn’t there yet, she may need to practice!

Control The Humans

Little Fluffy’s furry face, charming meows, and loving cuddles all melt our hearts. If she hasn’t trained you to pet her, pick her up, and/or feed her on demand, that may be on her agenda.

Catch The Dot

Playing is very important for cats: it helps them grow strong, improve her coordination, and keep her amused. Help your furry pal indulge her inner lioness by taking time to play with her daily. 

Cuddle

If you’ve ever hugged a purring cat, you’ve probably realized that cuddling kitties is very soothing. In fact, snuggling Fluffy can lower your blood pressure, reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack, and generally just relax you. Our feline pals even purr at frequencies that have been shown to help promote tissue healing in humans. Snuggles are also great for bonding, which is also important. Keep that motor going! 

World Domination

This may seem like a lofty goal for a pint-sized furball. However, let’s not forget that Fluffy managed to convince the ancient Egyptians to treat her like a deity.

Grow

Kitties grow very quickly. Make sure your tiny feline is getting proper nutrition! That big growth spurt can be a sprain on her bones and joints. Of course, much of little Fluffy’s growth happens when she’s sleeping. Offer lots of beds and lap space.

Explore Everything

Kittens are very curious, which is adorable as it is dangerous. Petproofing is a must! Ask  your vet for tips. Remember to seal off openings behind and beneath furniture and cabinets. Your curious little pet could also hop into a dryer or curl up under a recliner. Keep a close eye on your tiny adventurer, and be ready to pluck her from danger at any time!
